Follow These Steps To Get You Started

2

Start Up

When starting Ergo for the very first time, you will be presented with the welcome dialog. Close this to continue.

3

Starting A Search

Simply enter your search into the search box and click the Go button.

4

Where To Search

You can change where Ergo looks for your information through the Source Selector. Hovering over the Source Selector will bring up the quick view allowing you to select multiple sources in which Ergo can search, from your local computer to Microsoft Live (tm), Flickr (tm) to YouTube(tm).

5

Visualising Your Results

Because everyone is different, Ergo provides a number of ways to view your results. From connected views to a simple list, Ergo allows you to view your results in a way that you find easiest to use.

You can only select one visualisation at any time, but you can change the way you view your results at any time.

6

Navigating Your Results

Once Ergo has returned your results, you will be presented with topics. You can select any one of these topics to view by simply clicking (or tapping) on a topic that interests you.

Topics that include 'sub-topics' are highlighted with a blue plus Sub-Topics. You can navigate to these sub-topics by double clicking the main topic.

Once a topic has been selected (indicated by a Selected), you can explore a topic's documents by clicking the 'Open' tab that will appear on the right hand side.

7

Viewing Your Documents

Choosing to explore a topic will flip the screen round to the document viewer and start populating the Thumbflow (tm).

The carousel can be navigated left to right to flip through the documents belonging to the selected topic.

8

Slide Grid

As well the Thumbflow (tm) view, you can scroll through a more familiar list view by expanding the slide grid via the control panel at the bottom left of the screen.

9

Related Topics

If you select an item in the Thumbflow (tm) or document list, you can see any other topics that the document belongs to by clicking the related topic button on the control panel.

You can then view the documents within these other related collections by clicking the button Related within the related topic box.

10

Document Tasks

If you wish to preview, open or annotate any document, just simply drag the document from the Thumbflow (tm) on to one of the three action tabs on the right hand side.

11

Annotate & Collaborate

By dragging a document onto the annotate tab, Ergo will switch to annotation mode allowing you to annotate the selected document and email, print or save it with your new annotations.

12

Pen Mode

Switching to pen mode enables you to write, doodle, highlight and add to your selected document any way you want before sending it on somebody you know, printing or saving for future reference.

13

Ink Notes

Anything you write onto the document using pen or text will create a note box. Note boxes can be repositioned, deleted, or even partially erased.

It's entirely up to you what you create.

Just remember to share it!
